Every Child Deserves to Rise.
Some fight the odds. Some run with the wind.
Every child carries a story — of grit, grace, and growing dreams.
We stand by them all — the ones who reach for light, and the ones who help it shine brighter.

About Us

Our Vision

A world where every child — no matter where they begin — can rise to their fullest potential. Where opportunity meets effort, and excellence belongs to everyone.

Our Mission

To champion children who dare to dream — those breaking barriers, and those building bridges.

Through support, mentorship, and celebration, we nurture brilliance in every form — helping each child find their own way to shine.

What We Do

For over 3 decades, The Telegraph Education Foundation has quietly and consistently backed the dreams of thousands.
Our work spans three powerful pillars

Students

Through need-based scholarships, we give bright children the one thing their dreams hinge on — the freedom to keep going.

Schools

We help create environments where children feel safe to learn, play, and imagine. From basic infrastructure to inspiring libraries, we rebuild hope, brick by brick.

Recognition

With our annual Telegraph School Awards, we honour students, teachers, and schools who persevere and shine — reminding everyone what resilience looks like.

Our Impact

Real Stories. Real Change.

RAMPROSAD GHOSH
Student, XYZ School

From selling ice creams on the streets of Sonamukhi to keep his dreams alive, Ramprosad never stopped moving forward.
A TTEF scholarship helped him stay in school and chase opportunity with both hands.

Today, he runs four nursing training institutes and a computer centre in his village —
proving that hope, when fuelled, becomes a force of change.

POULAMI NANDY
Student, XYZ School

Poulami’s brilliance first shone in a one-room home in rural Bengal, but her dreams were always larger.

TTEF stood by her from Madhyamik to IIT Kanpur, opening every door she dared to knock.

Now a Fullbright Scholar and a Physics achiever — she’s living proof that talent rises when someone believes in it.

SAMIR MONDAL
Student, XYZ School

Samir came from a world where dreams often stopped at Class XII.

But with TTEF beside him, he reached Jadavpur University and became an engineer.

Today, as a System Engineer at Capgemini,
he carries with him the quiet pride of a journey rewritten.

MEHERPUR TULSHI RANI SCHOOL
Institute, Sundarban

Deep in the South Sundarbans, where crime and poverty once spoke louder than classrooms, a group of unemployed youth chose to build a school. With no government support and resistance from local mafia, they taught anyway — crossing difficult terrain every day with nothing but belief. Over time, the walls held. The mindset changed. Today, their students work in government offices and multinational companies, carrying education far beyond the village that first fought it.

GRACE WILLIAMS
Teacher, ABC School

Grace Williams taught for over thirty years, carrying Loreto values not as lessons but as lived practice. She was firm without fear, gentle without weakness, and consistent in her belief in students. Many leaned on her strength when they had none of their own. Her legacy lives on in the character of the students she shaped, long after the classroom doors closed.

SUBAL CHANDRA LAHA
Teacher, ABC School

Born into a poor farming family, Subal Chandra Laha chose teaching over a secure industrial job. He taught every subject his students needed — and often drove them to school himself. Even after retirement, he worked voluntarily to improve both the school and the village’s living conditions. One teacher didn’t just change classrooms. He changed what an entire community believed was possible.

ANTYODOY ANATH ASHRAM
NGO, Kolkata

Antyodoy Anath Ashram cares for children who have lost parents — and refuses to let them lose direction. Alongside food and shelter, it provides education, healthcare, skills training and emotional stability. From free eye surgeries and disaster relief to mass marriages for orphaned girls, its work extends wherever need appears. Here, compassion isn’t an act of kindness. It’s a system that never switches off.

A Testimony to Transformation

Every small step creates a lasting impact — together,
we’re shaping a better tomorrow.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
